Sheila's 10-Point Youth Plan

1. Work to include youth in decision-making at every level of the party.

2. Double the existing annual operating budget of the YLC to approximately $100,000

3. Maximize on-line resources, democracy and voting in the party, in order to permit youth to participate in an accessible way.

4. Provide greater support for the development of Liberal campus clubs.

5. Fully incorporate social media into party communications strategy.

6. Set up a Liberal speakers bureau to assist Liberal youth and student clubs in the organization of club-building events.

7. End tokenism for youth, and focus on real empowerment of young Liberals.

8. Ensure that youth perspectives are heard and reflected in the development process for party policy on youth and student issues.

9. Ensure outreach to marginalized youth representing the First Nations, multicultural, and LGBT communities.

10. Make the Liberal Party a fun movement to be part of again.
